Sam Guy wins Apprentice of the Year
FSP employee Sam Guy won Apprentice of the Year 2007 within the Engineering Apprenticeship award category which had over 300 nominees. Sam began his Apprenticeship with Fabweld back in August 2005. During his apprenticeship at Fabweld, Sam impressed senior management with his drive and determination regularly receiving praise and recognition from colleague’s about the extraordinary progress he was making.
As soon as senior management became aware of the Apprentice of the year award they had no hesitations about entering a nomination on behalf of Sam. Operations Director Wayne Carter said: “Sam showed passion and enthusiasm for learning new skills, the level of professionalism he displayed is rare in such a young person”. Sam said “When I was nominated, I never thought that I would win it. That just shows what you get when you work hard, and get stuck in.”
